Wolf Theiss has advised German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon on the sale of its Romanian subsidiary Ecoenergia operating a 15-turbine 34.5-megawatt wind farm to Premier Energy.
The deal obtained merger clearance in January 2022.
Enercon is a wind energy technology company specializing in the development, production, sale, and servicing of onshore wind energy converters.
The Premier Energy Group, owned by the Czech Republic's Emma Capital investment management company, is active in the generation, distribution, and supply of electricity and the distribution and supply of natural gas in Romania and Moldova.
"The sale process was extremely competitive, this operational 34.5-megawatt wind park generating a lot of interest, with all offers being carefully weighted both from a commercial and legal point of view and from the perspective of the speed of completion of the transaction," Wolf Theiss Partner Ileana Glodeanu commented.
The Wolf Theiss team included Glodeanu, Partner Anca Jurcovan, Counsels Mircea Ciocirlea and Flaviu Nanu, Senior Associate Adina Aurel, and Associates Maria Ionescu and Iulia Cumparatu.
