Radu Taracila Padurari Retevoescu has advised Sarmis Capital on its acquisition of a 55% stake in Smart ID Dynamics. BPV Grigorescu Stefanica advised the shareholders of Smart ID.

According to BPV Grigorescu Stefanica, "founder and CEO, Daniel Boangiu together with co-founder and Board Advisor Romeo Iacob, will continue to lead the company into the next stage of growth and expansion."

Established in 2019, the private equity fund Sarmis Capital specializes in investments in Central and Eastern Europe, including Romanian entrepreneurial companies.

Founded in 2010, Smart ID is a Romanian company providing customized end-to-end automation solutions for business environments, including industries such as retail, logistics, and manufacturing.

"Smart ID garnered our attention and convinced us with its strong results, being not just a software integrator but an end-to-end Romanian independent solutions provider, with an ambitious and excellent technical management and execution teams," Sarmis Capital Managing Partner Cezar Scarlat commented. "Through the new partnership, Smart ID will fully benefit from Sarmis’ strategic expertise and financial power, having at its disposal EUR 20-30 million for organic growth and acquisitions."

The BPV Grigorescu Stefanica team was led by Managing Partner Catalin Grigorescu and included Associate Tania Hotca.
