Sayenko Kharenko has advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on a EUR 30 million unfunded portfolio risk-sharing facility with Ukrsibbank.
According to Sayenko Kharenko, the facility is designed to stimulate lending in key sectors of Ukraine’s economy and support residential energy transition projects. Under the agreement, EBRD will cover up to 50% of Ukrsibbank's credit risk on subloans issued to borrowers in critical industries such as agribusiness, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and logistics, as well as to residential borrowers implementing energy security initiatives. The facility is backed by first-loss risk cover funded by France and the EU under the Ukraine Investment Framework.
Earlier this year, Sayenko Kharenko advised the EBRD on its EUR 10 million loan to support municipal services in Lviv (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on July 18, 2025).
The Sayenko Kharenko team included Partner Igor Lozenko, Senior Associate Oles Trachuk, Junior Associate Artem Medvetskyi, and Paralegals Polina Savinska and Mykola Suprunovych.
