Tuca Zbarcea & Asocatii has successfully represented the Romanian Tennis Federation, led by former world tennis star Ion Tiriac, against several challenges to the registration of the new board.
According to a press release by the Romanian Tennis Federation (FRT), on June 11, 2020, "the Bucharest Court of Appeal rejected as unfounded all the appeals made by the Tennis Tennis Pamira, Tennis Club Olimp, and Triumf 2000 associations against the Bucharest Tribunal order confirming the new composition of the governing bodies of the Romanian Tennis Federation, established by the decision of the General Assembly of Elections of 19.06.2019."
According to the FRT, "the steps for registering the new governing bodies in the Federation Register were delayed for one year, mainly due to the abusive actions of the Tennis Club Pamira association, which was also fined by the Bucharest Tribunal for exercising procedural rights in bad faith. This delay led to the loss by FRT of funding from MTS for the current year, which has affected and affects unfairly and severely the development of Romanian tennis, especially the children and juniors sector."
Ultimately, according to the FRT, "contrary to the belief expressed by the Tennis Club Pamira association, the formulation of multiple unfounded and defamatory requests and accusations cannot defeat the judicial truth established by a final court decision."
