Wardynski & Partners has advised the Lars Larsen Group on Polish aspects of the sale of Garia and its subsidiary Melex to Club Car.

Denmark-headquartered Garia manufactures golf, recreational, and compact electric utility vehicles. Melex is a Polish manufacturer of electric vehicles, including passenger, luggage, and special vehicles.

Lars Larsen is a Danish capital group that owns companies in the furniture, interior design, restaurants, and hotels industries. The group is also an active investor in shares, funds, and real estate.

Platinum Equity company Club Car is an American manufacturer of golf and utility vehicles with a network of more than 350 distributors and dealers.

"Today, Garia has manufacturing facilities in Viborg and Poland, where they manufacture for and ship to the entire world," Garia CEO Jakob Holstein commented. "The strategic acquisition of Melex provides great synergies in terms of own production of components and has contributed immensely to the fact that Garia is profitable today. This is also a big part of the reason why Club Car regards Garia as a sound investment for the future."

The Wardynski & Partners team was led by Partner Kinga Ziemnicka and included Partners Marcin Wujczyk, Joanna Prokurat, Michal Wons, and Antoni Bolecki, Counsel Joanna Krakowiak, Senior Associate Katarzyna Pikora, Attorneys-at-Law Lukasz Rutkowski and Joanna Szafranska, Advocates Malgorzata Piekarska and Karolina Romanowska, Junior Associates Aleksandra Nowacka and Jan Kazmierczak, Specialist Iwona Kasperek, and Trainee Lawyer Wiktor Zborowski.
