Wardynski & Partners has advised Bergs Timber on the acquisition of Pinus from company owners and founders Jerzy and Mariusz Smolarczyk.

"The acquisition of Pinus will enlarge the group’s production capacity and enable planned expansion in the UK and the rest of Europe," Wardynski & Partners stated. "After the acquisition of Pinus, Bergs’ annual sales of windows and doors will total some SEK 600 million."

Bergs Timber is a Nasdaq Stockholm-listed Swedish company operating since 1984. The company manufactures, markets, and sells windows and doors through its subsidiaries Performance Timber Products Group in the UK and Byko-Lat in Latvia.

Founded in 1991, Pinus is a Skarbimierz-Osiedle-based windows and doors manufacturer in Poland.

"Pinus fits in very well with Bergs, both operationally and strategically," Bergs President and CEO Peter Nilsson commented. "Our determined commitment to high-quality windows and doors continues, where we see good growth opportunities in several markets."

The Wardynski & Partners team included Partners Izabela Zielinska Barlozek and Joanna Prokurat, Counsel Adam Pawlisz, Attorneys-at-Law Sylwia Stalenczyk-Janc and Ewa Nagy, and Advocate Kacper Czubacki.
