Soltysinski Kawecki & Szlezak has advised the NN Group on the acquisition of MetLife’s businesses in Poland. De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek reportedly advised the NN Group as well.
The value of the transaction was estimated at EUR 584 million. The Polish stage of the transaction closed on April 22, 2022, after securing the Polish Financial Supervision Authority's approval.
According to SK&S, “the acquisition of MetLife’s businesses in Poland, including an insurance company, an investment fund company, and a universal pension company, was part of a larger transaction including Greek entities.”
The SK&S team was led by Partner Marcin Olechowski and included Partner Wojciech Iwanski, Senior Counsel Anna Kratiuk, Senior Associates Jan Pierzgalski and Mateusz Blocher, Associates Jakub Lach and Lidia Malinowska, and Junior Associate Maksym Shcherbyuk.
