Dentons has advised PKO Bank Polski on providing financing to the VSB Group for the construction of the Baranow-Rychtal onshore wind farm in Poland.
According to the firm, the wind farm will have a total capacity of 42.6 megawatts and consist of 11 wind turbines. The wind farm construction process started in November 2021 is expected to be completed in 2023.
Dresden-headquartered VSB is a service provider in the field of renewable energies. Since 1996, VSB has commissioned more than 700 wind energy and photovoltaic plants with a combined installed capacity of approximately 1.1 gigawatts and an investment volume of EUR 1.7 billion.
"The Baranow-Rychtal project fits perfectly into our policy of supporting environmental protection, preventing global climate change, and transforming Polish economy towards zero emissivity," PKO Bank Polski Corporate Client Division Director Marcin Majewski commented. "We are convinced that this investment will improve the quality of life in our country and we will be even more decisively on the green side of power."

Dentons was unable to disclose further information on the deal.
