Dentons has advised the EBRD, DNB Bank, and Denmark’s EKF export credit agency on a PLN 350 million financing granted to DIF Capital Partners' Polish subsidiaries.

According to the firm, "the EBRD’s share in the financing totals PLN 175 million and is matched 50-50 by DNB, with EKF providing a guarantee for 70% of the long-term loan granted by the bank."

The financing will be used "for the acquisition, development, and operation of the Grajewo and Sulmierzyce wind farms located in Poland with a total capacity of 63.1 megawatts," the firm informed. "The Grajewo and Sulmierzyce wind farm projects, with a capacity of 40 megawatts and 23.1 megawatts respectively, are expected to generate more than 182.4 gigawatt-hours of renewable zero-carbon electricity a year, leading to carbon emissions savings of almost 140,000 tons per year, thus contributing to climate change mitigation in Poland."

"Supporting the financing parties on this onshore wind farms project was extremely satisfactory and we are happy we were able to work on another investment aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions in Poland," Dentons Senior Associate Justyna Jamrozy commented.

The Dentons team was led by Partner Piotr Nerwinski and included Partner Mark Segall, Jamrozy, and Associate Katarzyna Kaptur.
