The Warsaw office of Dentons has advised the EBRD, DNB Bank Polska, mBank, Bank Pekao, and PZU on their provision of financing to Potegowo Mashav for the expansion of the Potegowo wind farm.
Potegowo Mashav is a special purpose vehicle controlled by the Israel Infrastructure Fund.
According to Dentons, “the new financing will be used to extend the largest wind farm in Poland by an additional 37.4 megawatts (Wieliszewo project).” In addition, according to the firm, “once completed, the Potegowo wind power plant’s total capacity will reach 256.9 megawatts.”
Dentons originally advised the EBRD, Bank Pekao, and DNB Bank Polska on their EUR 290 million loan to Potegowo Mashav for the construction of the Potegowo wind farm (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on June 3, 2019). Dentons also advised DNB Bank Polska on its provision of a PLN 155 million loan to Wilko 5 for the construction of five wind farms in Poland (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on October 16, 2020).
The Dentons team consisted of Partners Piotr Nerwinski and Agnieszka Kulinska, Managing Counsel Michal Motylewski, Senior Associates Justyna Jamrozy and Lena Boczkaja, and Associate Marta Borowska.
The firm could not disclose further information about the deal.
