Greenberg Traurig Helps OTB Ventures Launch OTB Space Program I

Lawyers from Greenberg Traurig's Warsaw office have joined the firm's multi-office team helping OTB Ventures launch a dedicated investment vehicle to support Europe’s space technologies – the OTB Space Program I – backed by the European Investment Fund and the European Commission through the InnovFin for Equity program.

OTB Ventures is a venture capital firm specialized in investments in technology companies originating in Central and Eastern Europe CEE.

According to Greenberg Traurig, “coinciding with the launch OTB Space Program I, OTB Ventures and its managed funds have committed USD 30 million in equity investment in ICEYE, a European leader in small satellite synthetic-aperture radar technology. This investment by OTB Ventures forms a cornerstone to ICEYE’s USD 87 million series C funding round.”

Greenberg Traurig’s team included Warsaw-based Partner Aleksander Janiszewski and Senior Associate Paulina Kimla-Kaczorowska, in addition to Partners Thedoor Melchers, Wietse de Jong, Cees van Oevelen, Thomas van der Vliet, and Sabine Schoute, Counsel Lilian Welling-Steffens, Senior Associate Paul Schouten, and Associate Jeroen Den Dunnen.
