Norton Rose Fulbright, working with South Korea's Kim & Chang, advised Play on a PLN 464 million financing from Banco Santander in the form of an export finance facility backed by the Korean Export Credit Agency. Allen & Overy reportedly advised the lender.
According to Norton Rose Fulbright, the financing will be used for the purchase of Samsung equipment in Poland.
P4, branded as Play, is a mobile telecommunications service provider in Poland with a 28% market share. The company is part of French telecommunication group Iliad.
Norton Rose Fulbright recently advised Play on financing for the acquisition of UPC in Poland (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on December 17, 2021) and a loan from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on October 26, 2021).
The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by Senior Associate Krzysztof Gorzelak and included Partner Grzegorz Dyczkowski, Counsel Tomasz Rogalski, and Associate Przemysław Piasecki.
