Filip & Company and PNSA Advise on BT Pensii's Acquisition of BRD Medio Fund

Filip & Company has advised BT Pensii on its takeover of the voluntary pension fund BRD Medio. Popovici, Nitu, Stoica & Asociatii advised the Societe Generale Group.

The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.

According to Filip & Company, BRD Medio will be rebranded as Pensia Mea Plus upon completion of the transaction. This transaction follows the 2024 agreement under which Banca Transilvania Financial Group and BT Investments acquired BRD Pensii, the administrator of the BRD Medio and BRD FPAP Pilon II funds, from BRD-Groupe Societe Generale and Societe Generale Assurances. With this acquisition, BT Pensii will manage two Pillar III funds – Pensia Mea and Pensia Mea Plus – servicing over 150,000 participants.
