KPMG Legal Romania has merged with the Fernbach & Partners law firm.
As a result, Cristiana Fernbach joined the KPMG Legal Romanian management team as coordinating partner of the Technology, IP, and Privacy practice.
According to KPMG Legal Romania, the two firms' merger represents "a strategic move to create the leading Technology law practice in Romania.”
Fernbach & Partners was established earlier this year (as reported by CEE Legal Matter on March 5, 2019). Since then, according to a KPMG press release, it "already established a strong footprint in the local startup ecosystem by advising startups on their legal issues and financing rounds."
