On December 13, 2022, Schoenherr announced that Jade Power's sale of its Romanian renewable energy portfolio to Enery (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on September 9, 2022) had closed.

The EUR 71 million deal involved an 81-megawatt-peak wind, solar, and hydropower renewable energy portfolio comprising six projects.

Jade Power Trust is a Canadian-based energy company. Enery Power Holding is an Austrian investment company focusing on the acquisition, development, construction, and operation of renewable power plants.

With this deal, according to Schoenherr, "Enery, which has been developing solar greenfield assets in Romania for three years, enters the local green electricity production market as a major player."

As previously reported, Wolf Theiss, working with Aird & Berlis, advised Jade Power Trust on the sale. Schoenherr advised Enery Power Holding on the acquisition and the related financing.

Schoenherr's updated team included Partners Robert Bachner and Georgiana Badescu, Local Partner Monica Cojocaru, Counsel Adina Damaschin, Senior Attorneys at Law Vlad Cordea, Simona Lehniuc, Claudiu Stan, Mona Banu, and Cristiana Manea, Attorneys at Law Silviu Lazar and Loredana Barbu, and Associate George Sopirla.
