Suciu Popa has successfully represented Hidroelectrica, an electricity production and technological services provider in Romania, in two complex court cases involving claims of over EUR 2 million made by an equipment provider.
According to Suciu Popa, "the court fully confirmed Suciu Popa’s arguments in defending Hidroelectrica, in the sense that the claims born before the opening of an insolvency procedure, but not invoked during such procedure, may no longer be upheld. The importance of this court decision lies in the fact that in case of several works contracts that have been concluded between the same parties for different objectives, a precedent has been created."
The Suciu Popa team was supervised by Managing Partner Miruna Suciu and included Managing Associate Iulian Cioienaru, Senior Associate Mihaela Ragea, and Associate Mihai Caragui.
