The criminal law team of Musat & Asociatii has won a case before the High Court of Cassation and Justice involving client Ludovic Orban, the chairman of the main opposition party, who had been accused of using his influence to obtain undue advantage by the Romanian National Anticorruption Directorate.
According to Musat & Asociatii, the panel of five judges dismissed the DNA's appeal and upheld the acquittal ordered by a previous Supreme Court panel. The court’s decision is final.
The Musat team included Partner Liviu Togan, Senior Associate Adrian Chirvase, and Associate Doru Schipor.
