Stratulat Albulescu has announced the arrival of three new Partners: Leontin Trifa, Otilia Petrescu, and Ioana Bratu.
Leontin Trifa joins as a Senior Partner following 16 years in the financial sector, including three years as a legal counsel with Intercapital Invest, 20 months with EFG Eurobank Telesis, and a little over seven years as an Associate Partner with Reff & Associates, the Deloitte Legal correspondent firm in Bucharest. According to Stratulat Albulescu, Trifa "has worked extensively on complex regulatory matters, finance transactions including loan documentation assistance, merger and acquisition transactions within the financial industry sector and capital markets operations including assistance in high profile cases involving market abuse allegations." He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the Bucharest University Faculty of Law and is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association.
Otilia Petrescu has particular experience in the real estate sector, where the firm reports that she has "conducted a large number of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, real estate development and planning, and commercial leases." She was General Counsel at Louise Delhaize Group, and "she has worked extensively assisting investors, real estate funds, asset managers and real estate developers on all stages and types of real estate transactions, including due diligence, drafting and negotiating of transaction documents, financing, leasing and the acquisition and disposal of real estate properties." Finally, according to the firm, "she also has advised clients during major construction developments including structuring and negotiating contractual documentation and dealing with post-completion matters."
Ioana Bratu began her career with five years (2007-2012) as a Legal Intern and then a Legal Trainee at RTPR Allen & Overy, and in May 2012 she joined Wolf Theiss. In May 2014 moved in-house with OMV, but in January 2016 she returned to private practice, first in her own practice, and then with the Ene Bratu & Partners firm, which she co-founded. She specializes in environmental law, and according to Stratulat Albulescu she has "extensive experience of advising on cross-border transactions involving waste management and waste packaging issues, development activities and projects with an environmental impact, legal issues arising from analysis processes for the decontamination of soil and water, and assistance in complex real estate issues, and — as part of this — structuring corporate transactions for local and international companies." She also graduated from the University of Bucharest, and she is currently participating in the Executive MBA program at the University of Vienna.
