DLA Piper has advised 2Ride on its acquisition of Casco. BNT Gilescu Valeanu & Partners and Tiefenbacher reportedly advised the seller.
2Ride specializes in protective accessories manufacturing and distribution for motorcyclists and skiers. 2Ride is the parent company of brands including Shark, Nolan, Troy Lee Designs, Segura, Bering, and Cairn Sport.
Family-owned company Casco manufactures helmets and eyewear in the fields of equestrian sports, cycling, and skiing and also specializes in firefighting and rescue helmet production. The company has sites in Germany and Romania.
According to DLA Piper, "with this acquisition, 2Ride intends to further strengthen its position in the outdoor segment. In addition, the two companies will expand their product portfolio and also increase their sales capacities for further markets."
The DLA Piper team was led by Bucharest-based Country Managing Partner Marian Dinu and Partner Tudor Nedelea and included Counsels Cristina Bucur and Lidia Dutu, Senior Associate Sandra Cahu, Associate Noemi Popa, and Senior Transfer Pricing Specialist Florian Moroz, as well as lawyers from the firm’s Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, Cologne, and Paris offices.
