Radu Taracila Padurari Retevoescu has advised Meridiam on its acquisition of a shareholding stake in Netcity Telecom from E-Infra. Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii advised the seller.
"Through this partnership, Meridiam acquired a co-controlling stake and the parties agree to accelerate the development of Netcity’s network in Bucharest," Meridiam announced. "The joining of two experts in the field of digital infrastructure will maximize the potential for the development and management of modern infrastructure, at the highest standards."
Established in 2008, Netcity operates the underground telecommunications infrastructure in Bucharest.
Meridiam is a Paris-based global investor and asset manager, specializing in developing, financing, and managing public infrastructure projects. Meridiam manages assets of more than USD 18 billion.
E-Infra is a group of Romanian companies active in the field of energy and telecommunications infrastructure. The company has almost 600 employees and an annual turnover of over EUR 120 million.
