Schoenherr has advised Romanian FMCG distributor Aquila on the successful completion of its initial public offering and sale of 66.6 million new shares, for a total sum of approximately EUR 74 million.
According to Schoenherr, “the funds raised will be used to acquire FMCG/distribution companies, strengthen the company's work capital, invest in digitalization projects, and develop company brands. Following the successful completion of the IPO, Aquila will apply to list its shares on the regulated market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.”
Aquila is a Romanian FMCG distribution company, with revenues of EUR 362 million in 2020. The group serves a network of about 67,000 points of sale.
