BPV Grigorescu Stefanica has advised Black Sea Fund I on the acquisition of a 70% stake in D-Toys. Schoenherr advised D-Toys founding shareholder Tibor Fustos as the seller.
According to BPV, D-Toys is the largest Romanian manufacturer of puzzles and children's games.
Black Sea Fund I is a Romanian private equity investment fund focusing on accelerating the growth of small and medium enterprises.
According to BPV Grigorescu Stefanica, “following the transaction, the new management of D-Toys aims to continue its international development and expand into countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland. The company will focus on increasing online sales and its creative and production capacity to meet the needs of the target audience in Romania and abroad. The company’s headcount is also expected to increase by 40% in the coming years.”
