Bondoc si Asociatii has advised Restart Energy on its issuance of 163,612 green bonds convertible into shares and their admission to trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange’s Multilateral Trading System. Romania-based brokerage company Goldring acted as an intermediary on the transaction.
According to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the bonds have a nominal value of RON 100/bond, a 5-year maturity, and an interest rate of 9%, payable half-annually. Furthermore, the bonds will become convertible starting from 2024 and can be bought back starting with the third year of the bond issue.
According to Bondoc si Asociatii, as a result of the issuance, Restart Energy received more than RON 16 million. According to the firm, the funds will be used for the development and acquisition of renewable energy production assets.
Restart Energy is a supplier of electricity and natural gas that is based in Timisoara, Romania.
Previously, Bondoc si Asociatii advised Restart Energy on its entrance into an agreement with Interlink Capital Strategies for the development of green energy projects (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on January 19, 2021).
