Stratulat Albulescu, working with lead counsel Nixon Peabody, has advised US-based ThoughtWorks on the acquisition of Romanian software developer Gemini Solutions.
Gemini Solutions was founded in 2005 in San Francisco by a group of Silicon Valley technologists. Having a development center in Romania, Gemini Solutions delivers software product development services.
Founded over 25 years ago, ThoughtWorks provides software design and delivery and tools and consulting services.
According to Stratulat Albulescu, this acquisition will “significantly improve ThoughtWorks' ability to support and service clients, especially on the European market. The Gemini team brings a wealth of experience in IoT, Big data, Artificial Intelligence, data science, mobility, and cloud that will enhance and strengthen ThoughtWorks’ offer.”
Stratulat Albulescu's team was led by Managing Partner Silviu Stratulat and Partner Cristina Man and also included Partner Andrei Albulescu, Managing Associates Anca Ulea and George Chiocaru, and Associate Madalina Spataru.
Stratulat Albulescu could not provide further information on the deal.
