Gessel has advised Asist and its founder Rafal Cwiklinski on the sale of a stake in the company to the PIB Agency. Greenberg Traurig advised the buyers.
The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.
Asist is a Polish insurance multiagency, working with a network of 1,300 partners and a total premium placed with insurance companies in excess of PLN 320 million.
The PIB Agency is part of the PIB Group, a European brokerage market group.
Gessel’s team included Managing Partner Marcin Macieszczak, Managing Associates Krzysztof Jasinski and Bartlomiej Wozniak, and Senior Associate Katarzyna Olszak.
Greenberg Traurig’s team included Partner Rafal Baranowski, Local Partner Filip Kijowski, Senior Associate Tomasz Denko, and Junior Associate Artur Hammermeister.
