Rymarz Zdort has advised Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo on a number of gas sales agreements with Equinor for natural gas from the Norwegian continental shelf to be delivered to Poland via the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline, through Denmark. 

Equinor ASA is a Norwegian energy company with operations in 36 countries. Focused on oil and gas production, it is also developing in the renewable energy sector, investing primarily in offshore wind farms.

According to Rymarz Zdort, “under the agreements between PGNiG SA and the Equinor ASA group, a total of 2.4 billion cubic meters of gas will be delivered to Poland, annually, over a period of ten years.”

In 2021, Rymarz Zdort advised on PGNiG’s acquisition of shares in Karpatgazvydobuvannya (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on October 8, 2021).

Rymarz Zdort’s team included Partner Marek Durski, Senior Associate Adrian Augustyniak, and Associate Andrzej Granat.

Rymarz Zdort was unable to disclose further information on the deal.
