Associated Partner Pawel Zelich has been named as the new Head of Noerr’s Warsaw office as of July 1, 2022. He takes over from Partner Radoslaw Biedecki, who had been heading the office since 2017.
Specializing in real estate and litigation and arbitration, Zelich has been with Noerr since 2010. He also heads the firm’s Real Estate Investment and the Litigation, Arbitration & ADR practice groups in Poland. Previously, he was a Lawyer at Petrobaltic from 2000 to 2007.
According to the firm, "Radoslaw Biedecki and his brother, Partner Ludomir Biedecki, have decided on a professional change and will be leaving Noerr as of August 31, 2022.”
Biedecki joined Noerr as an Associated Partner and Head of the firm’s Warsaw office on January 1, 2017, together with a team of 11 lawyers from Polish firm DJBW (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on November 24, 2016). Following the move, Noerr's name in Poland was changed to Noerr Biedecki. A 2017 in-depth interview regarding those changes, with Biedecki and (at the time) Noerr Regional Managing Partner Joerg Menzer, is available here.
Specializing in corporate and M&A, Biedecki was previously a Partner at DJBW, from 2014 to 2017, and at Biedecki Biedecki & Partnerzy, from 2005 to 2013. Earlier still, he established Kancelaria Radcy Prawnego Radoslaw Biedecki, where he worked from 2003 to 2005. Biedecki was also a Head of the Legal Department at Domy Towarowe Casino, from 1998 to 2003, and a Consultant at Gide Loyrette Nouel Polska, from 1995 to 1998.
"We are delighted that Pawel has decided to move forward with the expansion of our office in Warsaw," Noerr Partner Torsten Fett commented. "At the same time, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Radoslaw Biedecki for his many years of dedication to the firm and wish him success in his future career."
