Baker McKenzie has advised US water treatment company Ecolab on the acquisition of Purolite for an all-cash consideration of approximately USD 3.7 billion.
According to Baker McKenzie, “Purolite is a provider of high-end ion exchange resins for separation and purification solutions that complement Ecolab’s current offerings and are critical for high-quality, safe drug production and biopharma products purification in the life sciences industries.” Also based in the US, Purolite operates in more than 30 countries and employs approximately 1,000 people worldwide.
Baker McKenzie’s Poland-based team included Partner Weronika Achramowicz and Associate Anna Zmitrowicz. The global team was led by Chicago-based Partner Dieter Schmitz.
