B2RLaw has advised the Village Network on financing received from Movens Capital, advised by Think Legal.
The Village Network supports the development of children by ensuring a smooth, efficient and safe childcare process and facilitating the return to work of parents after maternity leave. The company aims to create a marketplace that connects parents looking for professional care for their children to those providing such care. The funding from Movens Capital will allow the Village Network to develop an IT platform facilitating the management of village-type communities. By the end of 2021, the Village Network aims to establish 100 such village-type communities across Poland.
According to B2RLaw, Movens Capital is a leading Polish/CEE venture capital and growth equity fund that invests in “technological diamonds” in the region.
“As a woman, it was especially pleasing to advise a company fully founded by female entrepreneurs with the aim of predominantly supporting women and their families (...) With the recent global successes of women-founded technology companies, it is great to see that Poland is also producing such exciting and revolutionary market challengers,” B2RLaw Senior Associate Teresa Pilecka commented.
B2RLaw’s team included Senior Partner Rafal Stroinski, Pilecka and Associate Joanna Markowicz-Maciocha.
The Think Legal team consisted of Partner Oskar Kopinski and Associate Katarzyna Olszak.
