WKB has advised Energix on a facilities agreement under which a consortium of banks that includes EBRD and Banco Santander will provide PLN 550 million in financing for the construction of two wind farms in Banie and Sepopol, Poland. Clifford Chance advised the banks.
The two plants will generate 125.4 megawatts.
According to Clifford Chance, the consortium of banks includes lenders European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Banco Santander S.A., EKF Denmark's Export Credit Agency as guarantor for the part of the financing granted by Banco Santander, and agent and security agent Santander Bank Polska S.A. The firm further informed that, of the aggregate amount of PLN 550 million, PLN 275 million will be granted by the EBRD and Banco Santander each.
