The Warsaw office of Clifford Chance has advised the EBRD on its provision of an unspecified loan to Elemental Holding S.A. for the construction of a recycling facility in Poland.
According to Clifford Chance, “the plant will treat spent lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and other waste containing metals that are critical for e-mobility… [and] it will be the first facility of its kind in the European Union and one of the first in the world.”
Elemental Holding is a Polish recycler of platinum-group metals and electrical waste. The company has operations in Poland and across Europe, the Middle East, and the US.
