SSW Pragmatic Solutions has advised the PKN Orlen Group on the purchase of three wind farms with a total capacity of 90 MW from Spanish investment funds.

The wind farms are located in Kobylnica, Subkowy and Nowotna, three communities in the Pomeranian Voivodeship of Northern Poland. The wind farms operate in the green certificate system and have signed agreements for the purchase of energy they produce for the next 4-10 years. Their total annual output is approximately 280 GWh.

According to SSW Pragmatic Solutions, "after this acquisition, the group is the owner of zero-emissions power plants with a total capacity of 642 MW, including 353 MW from their ten wind farms." According to the firm, "the purchase of the three wind farms is part of PKN Orlen Group’s long-term strategy. The group plans to have a portfolio of renewable energy sources with a total capacity of 2.5 GW by 2030."

The SSW team included Partners Dominik Strzalkowski, Sebastian Ponikowski, and Jakub Jedrzejewski, Senior Associate Marta Szymczyk, and Associate Rafal Kozerski.
