Kochanski & Partners has advised CVI Dom Maklerski on the issuance by Huta Malapanew of secured bonds with a nominal value of PLN 23 million and their acquisition by a fund with assets managed by CVI Dom Maklerski.
According to Kochanski & Partners Partner Pawel Mardas, who led the firm's team on the matter, the firm prepared the documentation for Huta Malapanew on the issuance as well, but its "ultimate client ... was CVI as the bondholder and financing provider." Huta Malapanew will use the proceeds to refinance existing debt and further develop the company’s operations.
"The funds whose assets are managed by CVI provide flexible and diverse forms of this type of financing (including mezzanine finance)," said Mardas. "The issue of Huta Malapanew bonds which we have managed is an excellent example and confirmation of the attractiveness of private debt financing as an important alternative to bank financing."
Kochanski & Partners Associate Sebastian Wozniak assisted Mardas on the deal.
