JDP has helped a consortium of Budimex S.A., Tecnicas Reunidas SA, and Mitsubishi Power Europe GmbH settle a dispute with PGE GiEK S.A. involving a contract for the design and construction of a lignite power unit at Elektrownia Turow in Poland.

Budimex is a Warsaw-based construction company that specializes in the energy and industrial, environmental protection, general construction, and infrastructure sectors. According to JDP, under the settlement, the value of the remuneration due to the contractors was increased by approximately PLN 108 million, and the deadline for commissioning of the unit was extended by six months. The settlement remains subject to court approval.

JDP’s team included Partner Przemyslaw Drapala, Senior Associate Mariusz Nowakowski, and Associate Jakub Oliver Hotewicz.
