Wardynski & Partners, working with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, is advising the Austrian group Mayr-Melnhof Karton on its acquisition of a paper mill in Kwidzyn, Poland, from International Paper for almost EUR 670 million and an additional EUR 33 million for payment of usufruct and operational leasing obligations. According to the firm, “two of them are Europe’s finest machines for producing uncoated wood-free paper, with a combined annual capacity of 410,000 tonnes.”

Wardynski & Partners’ team included Partners Anna Dabrowska, Bartosz Kuras, Dominik Walkowski, and Antoni Bolecki, and Attorneys Ewa Nagy, Radoslaw Wasiak, and Marcin Wujczyk.
