Former Counsel Wojciech Bazan has been promoted to Partner at JDP Drapala & Partners.

According to JDP Drapala & Partners, Bazan “advises clients in strategic court and arbitration disputes, a vast majority of which concern large infrastructure and large-scale construction projects or supply of high-tech machinery and industrial robots (e.g., claims relating to unjustified contractual penalties, abuse of a guarantee by an investor, refusal to pay for additional work). His experience also includes representation in disputes heard by international arbitration courts. He successfully handles disputes regarding promissory notes and declaration of enforceability of judgments issued by foreign common and arbitration courts.”

Bazan holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Jagiellonian University. Prior to joining JDP Drapala & Partners in 2015, he spent over three years with SK&S.

Bazan's promotion comes as part of the same promotion round that saw Michal Urbanski promoted to Counsel and Joanna Ostojska-Kolodziej join the firm as Counsel.

“This year’s promotions result from the many years of hard work and effects that Wojciech Bazan and Michal Urbanski have achieved,” commented Managing Partner Przemyslaw Drapala. “I am truly happy to have such experienced specialists within the team whose work is appreciated by our clients. I also have the pleasure to welcome Dr. Joanna Ostojska-Kolodziej, who will strengthen our Employment practice. I wish everyone good luck with their new professional challenges.”
