Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch has been named the new Managing Partner of Greenberg Traurig's Warsaw office. She will be supported by two new Deputy Managing Partners, Rafal Baranowski and Radomil Charzynski.

The new management team took over from Jaroslaw Grzesiak, who had led the firm for over 20 years. The change in leadership coincides with Greenberg Traurig celebrating 30 years of activity on the Polish market.

Before joining Greenberg Traurig in 2017, Nowakowska-Zimoch spent 17 years as a Partner with Hogan Lovells, after two and a half years with CMS, which she had joined in 1998. She will continue in her role as Head of the firm's Real Estate practice.

Baranowski joined Greenberg Traurig as a Local Partner in 2013, before being promoted to Partner in 2017. He previously spent six years as a Senior Associate with Weil, Gotshal & Manges and another six with BSJP. Between 2001 and 2002 he was an Associate with Roedl & Partner.

Charzynski joined Greenberg Traurig's Real Estate practice as a Partner, in 2015, moving from Allen & Overy.

"We have always excelled in times of change," said Greenberg Traurig Senior Partner Lejb Fogelman. "Our new team of managing partners has the essential combination of extensive experience and new energy. I am particularly proud that we are providing women and younger lawyers with opportunities to lead based on one thing only – merit. They can each count on my ongoing support and engagement in the coming years."

"Last year was the best year ever for both our office and the firm globally, and the prospects for 2021 are very promising as well," added Nowakowska-Zimoch. "We are planning to further develop particular practices, so now is the perfect time to refresh and continue the management model based on our clients’ and team’s trust."
