On January 16, 2024, Filip & Company announced that the transfer of the Orange Money Romania retail business to Alpha Bank (reported by CEE Legal Matters on August 29, 2023) had closed.
Orange Money was launched in 2016 on the Romanian market as a digital alternative to traditional banking services.

As previously reported, RTPR advised Orange Money Romania while Filip & Company advised Alpha Bank.
The Filip & Company updated team included Partners Alina Stancu Birsan, Monica Statescu, Cristina Tudoran, and Catalin Suliman, Senior Associates Rebecca Marina, Camelia Iantuc, and Bianca Chera, and Associates Marius Gheldiu, Raluca Bita, and Roxana Rosca.
