DLA Piper Advises Aegean Airlines on Sale of Animawings to Romania's Christian Tour Holding

DLA Piper has advised Greek flag carrier Aegean Airlines on the sale of charter operator Animawings to Christian Tour Holding.

Animawings is a Romanian airline based at the Henri Coanda International Airport in Bucharest. It specializes in charter operations.

According to DLA Piper, Aegean Airlines had been the majority shareholder of Animawings for the last two years, after its acquisition of a majority stake from the Memento group (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on November 16, 2021).

Christian Tour Holding is the parent entity of Bucharest-based Christian Tour, a tourism sector company, travel agency, and tour operator.

The DLA Piper team included Country Managing Partner Marian Dinu, Counsel Razvan Pele, Senior Associate Bogdan Buta, and Associates Noemi Popa and Teodor-Cristian Sabau.

DLA Piper could not disclose additional information on the matter.
