Glimstedt has advised international advisory real estate company Newsec on its investment in Lithuanian crowdfunding real estate platform Rontgen.
Founded in 1994, Newsec is a full service property house in Northern Europe which offers real estate owners, investors, and tenants a wide range of services within advisory and property asset management.
“In the real estate market, we see a growing need for crowdfunding," commented Ugnius Meidus, CEO of Newsec in the Baltic States. "Thus investing in the Rontgen platform will open up alternative sources of funding for real estate developers and provide new investment opportunities for individuals and businesses. In addition, this platform will provide an opportunity to invest in a prestigious and 'high entry' real estate investment segment that was only available to a few until the emergence of Rontgen.”
Rontgen is a crowdfunding platform for real estate development. It is recognized and supervised by the Bank of Lithuania and serves as the meeting place for developers with experience in real estate development projects and investors capable of providing funding.
The Glimstedt team consisted of Associate Partner Karolina Baronaite-Birmonte, Senior Associate Asta Macijauskiene, Associate Domantas Gudonis, and Junior Associate Simona Butkute.
