Ijdelea & Associates has advised the Eiffel Investment Group on the creation, financing, and ongoing development of a joint-venture partnership with R.Power Renewables for the development of a one-gigawatt portfolio of solar projects in Romania.
The Eiffel Investment Group is an asset manager based in France.
R.Power is a power producer active in solar PV and battery storage that operates in Poland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Germany, and Romania.
Once built, the projects are expected to deliver enough clean electricity to power more than 500,000 Romanian households and help prevent 420,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
"This third transaction for the Eiffel Transition Infrastructure fund will accelerate the deployment of new renewable energy capacities in Romania," Eiffel Investment Group Head of Renewables Investment Strategy Pierre-Antoine Machelon stated, "by providing the necessary equity for the development phase of the projects and by taking advantage of R.Power’s solid experience in terms of development of photovoltaic power plants."
The Ijdelea & Associates team was led by Managing Partner Oana Ijdelea and Partner Siranus Hahamian and included Managing Associate Ana Parvu and Senior Associates Luiza Catalinescu and Andreea Tudor.
