Tokushev and Partners has advised Oliva AD, the largest grain trader and oilseeds crusher in Bulgaria, on its acquisition of all long-term assets of the Kaliakra plant in Dobrich, Bulgaria, from Kaliakra AD, the Bulgarian subsidiary of Bunge. Djingov, Gouginski, Kyutchukov, and Velichkov advised Kaliakra on the deal.
The assets acquired by Oliva include land, equipment, buildings, storage facilities, and production facilities. According to Tokushev & Partners, ”since 2002 the plant has been owned by the Bulgarian subsidiary of Bunge, a US-based giant in the field of oilseeds processing and cooking oil production. The assets subject to the deal included approximately 140,000 square meters of land and over 85 separate buildings and storage. This expansion has cost Oliva AD an estimate of over USD 2.3 million.”
