Former Rymarz Zdort Partner Marcin Chylinski has joined the Baker McKenzie Warsaw office as a Partner and Head of the firm's Equity Capital Markets practice as of April 1, 2022.

Specializing in capital markets and M&A, Chylinski joins from Rymarz Zdort where he also led the Equity Capital Markets practice as a Partner. He had joined his former team back when it was still the Warsaw office of Weil, Gosthal & Manges, making Partner and spending 11 years with the firm before it became Rymarz Zdort. He holds a degree from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw as well as an LLM degree from Columbia Law School.

"We welcome Marcin to Baker McKenzie as a Partner," Baker McKenzie Warsaw Managing Partner Piotr Rawski commented. "I am convinced that Marcin, together with our leading global capital markets team, will make a significant contribution to the development of our transactional practice ... Marcin's arrival and the planned development of his practice is one of the most important elements of Baker McKenzie's long-term development strategy in Poland and the EMEA."

"Polish companies, especially in the technology sector, operate in numerous markets and, increasingly, their reach extends not only beyond Poland, but also far beyond Europe," Chylinski said. "Their legal services, especially when carrying out complex transactions, require comprehensive and coordinated support encompassing many different legal systems. I have no doubt that in close cooperation with the excellent, fully integrated global capital markets team of Baker McKenzie, we will be able, as the Warsaw office, to provide our Polish and global clients with the highest level of legal services in transactions in which I have specialized for many years."
