Schoenherr, working with Macfarlanes, has advised the owners of Zoerkler on its sale to MiddleGround Capital.

Zoerkler is a Jois-based Austrian manufacturer of high-performance transmission systems.

MiddleGround Capital, headquartered in Kentucky, is a private equity firm that manages over USD 3.85 billion in assets.

According to Schoenherr, Zoerkler will be integrated into Xtrac, a MiddleGround portfolio company known for its specialized work in motorsport and high-performance automotive transmissions and mechatronics. The transaction also included a partial reinvestment by the seller into MiddleGround’s UK-based holding company.

The Schoenherr team included Partners Robert Bachner and Christoph Haid, Attorney at Law Daniel Wadl, and Associate Roland Misic.

Schoenherr did not respond to our inquiry on the matter.
