Clifford Chance Badea has advised Polish-based private equity fund Abris Capital Partners on the sale of the Urgent Cargus courier company to Mid Europa Partners.
"This has probably been one of the most anticipated exits in the Romanian market,” said Mihai Macelaru, Counsel at Clifford Chance Badea. "It involved a significant amount of preparation, evaluation, and negotiation work for all parties involved."
Since 2013, Clifford Chance has advised Abris Capital Partners on all its investments in Romania, including the acquisitions in the courier industry Cargus from DHL/Deutsche Post, and the portfolios of TCE Logistica, CRX, Otto Curier, and Urgent Curier in 2014. According to Clifford Chance, these deals have led to the creation of one of the largest courier businesses in Romania.
The Clifford Chance Badea team was led by Partner Nadia Badea and Counsel Mihai Macelaru and included Senior Associate Radu Costin.
