Schoenherr has advised Nofar Energy on its acquisition of a 73-megawatt solar photovoltaic project in Slobozia, Giurgiu county.
According to Schoenherr, the transaction is part of the company's announced plans to acquire, develop, and install solar photovoltaic power plants and wind farms with a total capacity of 1.5 gigawatts in 2023.
Nofar Energy is a Tel Aviv Stock Exchange-listed company that specializes in developing, operating, and storing energy produced from photovoltaic power plants and wind parks. The company has operations in Spain, Italy, Israel, Poland, the UK, and the US.
Schoenherr previously advised Nofar Energy on its acquisition of the Ratesti 153-megawatt photovoltaic development project from Portland Trust (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on August 18, 2021).
The Schoenherr team was led by Local Partner Monica Cojocaru and included Partner Georgiana Badescu, Senior Attorneys-at-Law Vlad Cordea and Alexandra Huza, and Attorney-at-Law Darius Trusculete.
