Cristian Vlaicu has joined Stratulat Albulescu as Head of Banking and Finance in Bucharest.
According to Stratulat Albulescu, Vlaicu, who joins as partner, has "more than 20 years of experience in the banking and finance field." According to the firm, "Cristian acts for both lenders and borrowers and, in recent years, has been involved in advising international banks and financial institutions on a number of ground-breaking transactions in the CEE region. He is particularly well known for his expertise in local and cross-border structured and complex finance transactions, sale of NPL portfolios, and regulatory issues, including matters related to banks’ sale procedures.”
Vlaicu holds a Master’s degree in law from the University of Bucharest. Prior to joining Stratulat Albulescu, he spent two years in-house with Alpha Bank Romania, a year with ING Bank, three years with Raiffeisen Bank, three years with Wolf Theiss, and almost five years with DLA Piper.
