Triniti Jurex has successfully represented the Visoriu Slenio Gyventoju Bendruomene association in its petition to the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania to order a reevaluation of the environmental impact study regarding planned construction of the M. Lietuvio Street bypass in Vilnius.

Triniti Jurex reports that, “M. Lietuvio Street is planned to become a part of the Northern Vilnius bypass, which should connect the Vilnius Western bypass and Ukmerges Street, on one end, with Moletai road on the other.” According to the firm, “the initial environmental impact study, conducted by the Vilnius City Municipality, stated that M. Lietuvio Street will be restricted to heavy vehicle traffic and speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour. However, the court decided that the study failed to consider the category of the street, under which heavy vehicle traffic and speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour are allowed.”

As a result of the petition, the court ordered a new study to be conducted, which should reassess the potential impact of the planned construction on the health of the population.
