Kochanski & Partners has advised Klima Energy on leading a PLN 70 million investment round into SunRoof. Gessel advised SunRoof.

The round also included Inovo VC, SMOK Ventures, Alfabeat, and Level2 Ventures.

Klima Energy is a Spanish venture capital fund, part of the Alantra Group. The fund invests in companies and ventures geared toward developing renewable energy sources. Its total capitalisation exceeds EUR 210 million.

SunRoof is a Polish-Swedish green energy start-up focusing on the production of solar roof panels. According to Kochanski & Partners, “the photovoltaic-integrated roofing enables decentralised and independent production of green energy, which already powers homes and can be used in transport, e.g. for charging car batteries. The new funding raised will help strengthen the company’s position in the Swedish, German, and Polish markets and ensure its further international expansion.”

Kochanski & Partners’ team was led by Partner Pawel Mardas.

Gessel’s team included Partner Michal Bochowicz, Senior Associate Edyta Podgorska, and Associates Dominik Kaszuba, Katarzyna Zarzycka, and Rafal Smolik.
