Hungary: Child Rights Training for Lawyers

The Hintalovon Child Rights Foundation announces practice-oriented, case-focused professional training for lawyers dealing with cases involving children. The training will be held in Budapest on November 4.

The training is held in Hungarian and by the professional head of the Children's Law Center and the Hintalovon Foundation, Dr. Nóra Bárdossy-Sánta, and the founder of the Foundation, Dr. Szilvia Gyurkó - with the direct participation of children as experiential experts in the afternoon program.

The planned program of the event:

10.00-11.30 Lawyer roles, expectations and responsibility in cases involving children

11.45-13.00 The conditions of child-centered justice from a lawyer's point of view

13.45-15.00 Communication challenges in children's rights cases

15.15-17.00 Case discussion 

Description

The Hintalovon Foundation is a non-profit children's rights NGO operating since 2016, whose Children's Law Center has provided legal support to children, parents, and professionals in thousands of children's rights cases. In 2019, in recognition of our work, we received an A20 award in Beijing as one of the 20 best child rights pro bono centers in the world. The condition for participation in the training is the payment of HUF 49,000 as a subsidy to the Hintalovon Foundation. We issue a certificate of support. In case of oversubscription, participation will be determined in the order in which grants are received. Application deadline: October 28, 2022. We can only hold the training if a minimum of 10 people apply.
